We live in a sex-saturated world. Sex is everywhere – on our billboards, buses, magazines, computer screens, and in newspaper headlines. We also experience it in our communities and in ourselves. And yet sex is almost nowhere in terms of open dialogue between us. Outer social mores have largely fallen away and there is little guidance as to how to meet the sexual forces at work in each of us, in our relationships, and in society. This conference is an opportunity to bring greater consciousness to the theme of sexuality. We will explore new ways of understanding and working with it — individually, by developing inner work and soul strength; in relationship, by recognizing its true purpose and possibility; and collectively, by creating new social forms that can support healthy community life. The world is asking us to take up this work. Will you join us?
